I’m a Finnish illustrator, hailing from the land of Moomins, mysterious forests and vintage Nokias. I’m the slightly over-caffeinated wizard behind Taikasana, which means “magic word” in Finnish, because everything sounds cooler in another language.
My work lives in that playful space where reality ends and imagination takes over. I create bold, colorful and slightly oddball illustrations that mix charm, character and a dash of mischief.
Each piece begins with me whispering “taikasana” to my pens. They haven’t replied (yet), but they keep drawing strange little beings, so I’m pretty sure we’ve come to an understanding.
